Taking care of your cat's claws has been a problem for as long as people have raised cats as pets. You only had a
couple of choices. The first choice is to use a nail or claw trimmer to cut the cats claws. The problem is that the
cat hates the process because more often than not you will cut the claw too close and hit a nerve causing the cat
great pain and ruining your relationship with the cat for awhile.
The second choice was to use a large cat post which you almost need be an upholster to change the material on the
post which needs to be done sooner than later. The are very expensive to buy or hard to make if your not
professional carpenter.
With the introduction of the emery cat those problems are a thing of the past as the Emery Cat allows the cat
to trim their own claws and best of all it's easy to use light weight and a breeze to change the scratching
material.
Pros
The patented scratching surface is what makes the Emery Cat so special. It allows the cat to file their own nails
eliminated the need for you to use the clippers. That alone is worth a shout. It also comes with a cute toy your
cat will love to play with. Probably the best part is it's infused with catnip which if your cat is like mine, the
catnip will keep you cat intrigued for hours. The scratching surface is easy to change and you don't need to run
around trying to find something to replace the material with as replacement inserts are available from Emery Cat
eliminating your need to be an upholster.
Cons
I wish the Emery cat were a little bit heavier so it wouldn't move around as much as it does but on the other hand
because it's light weigh it can be moved to a different position in a jiffy. About the only other thing I would
wish for is that it would come in different colors to match it's surroundings but I guess the cat could care less
what color it is.
Conclusion
The EmeryCat Board is the best thing that has happened to cat care in a long, long time. Just the fact that you
don't have to trim the cat's nails is well worth the price. I don't know whether Livie my cat or myself hatted
the process more. Now I don't have to worry because her claws are always just right thanks to EmeryCat. If you
have a cat then I think that the EmeryCat Board is an investment that you should not do without. The time and
the frustration your going to miss make it a bargain
